In 1978, after 3 years managing Ed & Mindy's Chevron in downtown Brookings,
Dan Carpenter took ownership, renaming it D&H Chevron. In 1986, Dan
expanded the business by purchasing Brookings Union 76. Later, in 1990, Dan
consolidated the auto repair shops into our current facility at 934 Chetco Avenue.
A few years later, Dan joined the Northwest Tire Factory Buying Group as an
independent partner.
